What I Do…

I help authors spend less time marketing and more time writing by teaching a proven method of book marketing that is simple: you don’t have to be everywhere, just the right places doing the right things. I lean on my 20+ years of experience as a successful marketer to help you figure out how to sell more books and build raving fans. And I do that by offering online instruction that teaches you how to steer your own marketing ship. I produce classes that fit your time, budget, and skills no matter where you are in your author journey.

Before working with writers I worked as a crisis management consultant for universities and businesses. I traveled extensively training and speaking on how to prevent and manage online crisis events. My latest book, Crisis Management For Authors, is aimed at teaching writers how to prevent and respond to negative online events. I also managed online crises for a number of national clients.

Our mission is to make sure that your books have the best chance at success. It’s not enough to just write a book anymore. Today, you need to wear a marketing hat.

My online classes and resources are for you if you want to learn how to market more effectively and you’re interested in getting that knowledge from a professional. Whether you do-it-yourself or have the budget to hire help, Becca and I have classes and resources that will help you sell more books and build raving fans. The days of “if you write it they will come” are over with, my friend.

Most book marketers want to give you a to-do list as long as your arm. What makes me different from the sea of marketers out there? I know how to make you successful with less marketing instead of wasting your time with the “splatter method” trying out things that may or may not work. I specialize in online classes and learning resources for authors. You can start with our free classes. We also have paid courses that will take you deeper and help you develop the skills necessary to steer your own marketing ship.
