My greatest take-away is the need to be purposeful with writing if you want to be a career (prosperous) writer. It’s something I’ve known and understood intellectually, but I work such a stressful full-time job (my “paycheck job”), I find it difficult to discipline myself, to look at writing as more “work.” Aside from that, the lack of time is a huge factor. But I love Honoree’s no-nonsense approach, kind of like: if you want it, put on your big-girl panties and get to work. My favorite quote: “Give yourself permission to be a writer…. Own it.” Thanks, Honoree (and Chris).
