Module 1: Build a Platform That Stands Out & Reaches Your Fans
Discover how building a platform can make the difference between your books getting lost at sea or climbing up the sales rankings. You'll learn how to take advantage of the Big Three digital channels so your books can break through the online noise and reach the fans that want to buy your books. In this module you'll find out what successful writers do to get their books to the top of the best seller list.
In the Learning Lab, you'll find out why all social media channels are not alike and how you can find the ones that reach your audience most effectively and avoid the ones that don't. You'll also learn how to match your experience and goals to the right platform ingredients.
Module 2: Create Content That Fans Want
Learn how to produce a stream of engaging social media content that never ends. You will never have to worry about what to post on social media again. In this module, you'll be introduced to the Content Buckets System where you find the intersection between your passion and what your fans really want. You'll also learn the 80/20 rule that earns you the right to ask your fans to buy your books without feeling sales-y. You'll learn the secrets to the four most engaging kinds of social media posts.

Module 3: Get Attention With Captivating Images
Images are the most engaging media online. In this module, you'll LEARN the basics of how choose engaging ones, where to find budget-friendly images online, and how to take your own with just a smartphone. You'll also explore a plethora of image apps from free to paid. In addition, you'll learn the design side--what makes a good image and how to choose the right one to convey your message.
In the Learning Lab, you'll get hands-on experience at editing images and we'll take a look at how to make sure your online images are the right size for the right channel with the Image Cheat Sheet.
Module 4: Social Media Ads & Promotions on a Budget
In this module you'll INVESTIGATE the opportunities available to promote your books online with everything from paid social media advertising to free strategies using your own social media influencers. You'll learn the basics of how to put a good ad together--how to match image and copy to make fans an offer they can't refuse. You'll learn how to set a realistic budget and how to prioritize promotional opportunities. We'll also take a look at some scams and talk about how to spot promotions that are not worth your time or money.
In the Learning Lab, we'll go through the Book Promotion Value Matrix and discover The Cardinal Rules of Book Promotion . In addition, we'll take a quick tour through some of the online ad opportunities such as Amazon Marketing Services, Goodreads, Pinterest, LinkedIn (nonfiction), and more.
Module 5: Facebook Ads That Target Your Fans & Sell More Books
We'll start this module by digging into Facebook advertising 101. You'll learn about the different types of Facebook ads, where they are most effective, and how to put an engaging ad together.
In the Learning Lab you'll practice building your own ads with the Facebook Ad Sales Template. Finally, we'll talk about how to lay out an ad budget and how to test your ads to see which one works the best.
Module 6: Your 5-Step Plan For Selling More Books
Learn how to build a successful marketing plan you can implement matching the time, resources, money, and skill you have right now. In this module you'll be introduced to the 5-step SMART plan that will build an effective plan you can implement righ now.You'll take inventory of your time, skills, resources, and budget and design a plan that fits where you are now and grows as your platform grows.
In the Learning Lab, you'll put it all into practice. We'll start with a Social Media Audit Worksheet and you'll work through the Personal Inventory Worksheet. From there we'll work on goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics that fit your time, skills, budget, and resources. This module is definitely the kingpin of the course.
